As a first time buyer it was important to me to know and understand what he was doing, and he explained everything and every step. He also explained how to maintain the property, what are the dos and donts, and overall a great job. The inspector was very professional and knowledgeable. However, there were a few areas that were missed that we later identified after we moved in.

Champia inspected this property in November 2016. The first we heard of any issue was 6 months after the inspection when the customer called to say he had a problem with a leaky roof. Fortunately, Champia purchases a 5-year Platinum roof warranty with each home inspection we do so that if you have a leak during that period, we will repair it at no cost to the home owner. We helped the customer though our claims department and they offered to repair his leaks at no cost to him. Rather than get his problem fixed, he began claiming that the entire roof needed to be replaced because it was rotten. To understand his claim better, we sent one of our inspectors, who happens to be a Georgia Tech Engineer, to re-inspect and assess this claim more thoroughly.
Very thorough and responsive to all questions. After the inspection a thorough and detailed report, with pictures, was provided just a few hours later. They also offer a reinspection at a reduced rate to check any repairs that were needed.

Vince said it was no problem, and we began to do the outside portion of the inspection while waiting for the seller to arrive and let us inside. We circled the outside of the home a few times and Vince was glad to have me tag along and ask questions. The seller eventually arrived and we were able to move inside. Unfortunately, the house was not in the best condition to be inspected; we had to navigate through a lot of junk to get to windows, doors, and other areas.

I hope this owner BILL COMPTON is alarmed at this review and his staff's lack of response. FOLLOW-UP - they left it up to their clients to pay for the damages they caused.
